My News from all of the weekends this year

On Friday the 20th of February Hannah, Anna and I went to manual. When we got there we had to listen to Mr. D’s long speech. Then we went to morning tea. Hannah, Anna and I went to the dairy. After morning tea we got split into two groups. We were in group A. We got to make clay dragons.

I cut my finger!!! How you ask? It all stared on Sunday afternoon I was cutting a kamo kamo off its vine. Then I found out that it was rotten so I decided to see where the rottenness ended. So I stared to cut it into small slices. Then I felt the knife slide though my skin I looked down and blood poured out. I quickly ran down to dad and told him what happened. Dad told me what to do and the he took us down home and bandage me up. It was a wicked experience.



On Friday when we got home I cooked an apple crumble. I put too much sugar on it so it was sweet. When dad got home he had no tea and he went straight to the apple crumble “yummy!” Dad said. On Saturday we all went to jujitsu Steven and I got another tab. On Sunday I was cooking kamo kamo pickle when the phone rang it was Owen we talked for about two seconds and then I gave the phone to Steven. I also played on our computers.

I scored a try and got player of the day for rugby!!! Guess how? It all started on Saturday when Mum, Dad, Steven and I went to town. Mum, Dad and Steven dropped me off at the Stratford Rugby club rooms. Then Sam Copplestone picked me up and we went to Inglewood. Jaden (the fullback in our rugby team) was also in the Ute with Dean Copplestone. When we got to the Inglewood rugby grounds we couldn’t find a way into the rugby ground we were playing on. When we got in we stared to do warm ups. Then the game started I was off for the first 15 minutes. Then when I came on I caught the ball at the kick off and passed it. In the last 10 minutes of the game Nick ripped the ball and held it for someone to score so I grabbed the ball and scored a try. At the last kick off of the game Nick caught the ball and ran towards the outline, and then he got caught in a mall. Nick couldn’t rip it out so I did and then I ran up the side line. A boy lined me up so I passed it out to Jaden and he got flattened. I blew over then nick helped me. Chase passed it out the back line and we got a try. We won 79-0.

I went to Taranaki vs. Hawke’s Bay on Saturday. I had a fantastic time because my friend Justin bishop and my cousin Jed were there. We all kept buying chips and I kept getting free hats. On Sunday I went to my Saturday club rugby break up. Our team got the fairest team out of all the Stratford grades. I got a prize for being the best team person of the season. Then we took Justin back to his house.

On Saturday Dad, Mum Steven and I went to pick up Hanley up. Then we went to jujitsu .at jujitsu dad sat on my hand and made it click. I got my forth tab. The next time I get a new belt instead of a tab. It will be orange and white after that we went to my cousins. Mum and Dad had a coffee while Steven, Hanley, Jed and I played outside. The game we were playing was fun. Jed and I were on a team and Steven and Hanley were on another team. Jed and i won.


On Saturday Mum, Dad, Steven and I went dipping. We were dipping the ewes but some lambs got in with the ewes so I had to catch them and put them in a smaller pen. There were two lambs and a Ewe that were fly blown. Dad had to shear them and treat them. It was yuck because all of the maggots were crawling around.

Astronaut

On the19th of May 2035 I was flying by Jupiter when I got hit by an asteroid. My robot explorer 5000 came and said “the damage is bad captain. we will need to land so I can repair it.” “All right.” I replied. We were passing an unknown moon of Jupiter so I landed on it. When we got out of the space ship the damage was bad so we got to work straight away. Explorer 5000 said that he was going to get his tools and I said ok. Explorer 5000 was gone for about an hour but then I felt him behind me. “What took you so long” I asked still working. All I got was “aagggh” so I turned around to see green, blue, red, pink, orange and black aliens with some sort of gun which looked like one from a cartoon. I also sore pieces of explorer 5000 and other spaceships. Before I could react the aliens took me to there leader who can speak English in his room there was Voyager one and heaps of human skeletons. Then the alien’s captain talked his name was Juju “what is your name and rank?” “My name is Killer 5000 my rank is Admiral.” I replied “What is you ranking Juju?” I asked “I am also an Admiral. Do you know how to reset this thing to self-destruct?” He asked pointing to Voyager one. “No why do you ask?” “Because I want to destroy this solar system?” “Why do you want to do that?” “Because it is my mission and if I don’t succeed I will get killed.” “Well I guess if you push all of the buttons it should do something.” So that is what Juju did and it said self destruct in 24 hours. “Yes after all of the millions of years I have been trying it is finally going to happen.” Juju cried then he turned to his aliens and said “tie up Killer 5000 and leave him here and the get into the hyper drive.” His reply was “arrrggg” and they put a slimly rope around me. I didn’t struggle because I had a plan! When they had tied me up they left me alone on Jupiter’s moon. I could easily slip out of the rope because it was slimy. When I looked around there was my spaceship there was also a hyper space drive so I hooked up the hyper space drive to my space ship. Then I went to voyager one and opened a little hole and read the manual it said that I had to cut all of the panels into little pieces. So that is what I did. then I set up the hyper drive and went back to the earths moon the I crashed but luckily there was a space station close by so I floated to it but I had a safety cord attached to me incase I got lost. I got back safely though.

Our Pet's Day

On the 30/10/08 our school had Pet’s Day. I entered in the longest live eel and the biggest crawly. In the picture you can’t see much but the eels are getting measured. I got the longest and I got a measuring tape for the 1st prize.

I like the rivers when it is sunny,

Sleepy kiwis looking for food,
The ancient tuatara stalking its prey,
Native bush waving in the wind,
Cheeky Keas ripping up your new car,
Little white lambs playing around,
White Glaciers sparkling in the sun,
But the best part of all is the sun,

While listening to the Tui sing in the kowhai tree.

Sharp, Smoke, Steven and I go hunting

On Sunday 4th of May 2008 Steven, sharp (my dog), smoke (Steven’s dog) and I went down to our creek. When we were walking up the creek smoke went into a bush of cutty grass. Then smoke started barking and I sent sharp into the cutty grass and they came out with a possum. But then it ran, Steven told smoke to go after it and I told sharp to do the same. They got it and then they had a big fight over it. I took the possum off them and though it sharp went after it but I gave him a hiding. Next Steven, sharp, smoke and I went up the track then sharp and smoke went to a dead tree sharp was pointing to something and smoke was barking. So Steven and I went down to the dead tree and saw that there was another possum! Steven gave me a stick with a hook at the end and he said “Pull it out of the tree with that because you have a longer arm than me.” So I did it dropped in to a dead tree below and sharp went after it while Steven went below a little cliff below the dead tree. Then all of a sudden it dropped down the cliff and broke its back leg and charged at Steven and broke its leg again. Sharp and smoke went after it and Smoke follow Sharp, Sharp is useless because he was running around in circles. Steven and I went after them. Sharp caught the possum just in time it because it was climbing a Lawsoniania tree. Steven killed it with his stick and then we put it on the track so when we come back down we can get it. We were at the bottom of the track again so we went back up. We were just a little further from were the dogs found the 2nd possum when Sharp followed by Smoke went around a ponga and killed one more possum. Steven went and put it on the track and we went on. We finally got to the top track. Steven and I found a log by a whiteywood tree. Smoke went wild and I had a look what he was doing and he pulled out a hedgehog. Steven and I decided to go over to the 2nd Vera so we went up the ridge and went to the second Vera nothing much happen we saw about 50 goats but that is all. So we went to the third flat. And sat down on a lump, Smoke went wild again Steven went down to the bull rush and found a hedgehog nest with1 adult and 2 babies. Then we down the track again and got the possums. The second possum a hawk had eaten it.

2008

I am 10 years old now and on the 10th of May I will be 11. My goals for this year inside school grounds are to have neat work and finish all of my work on time and not have to stay in. My goals outside the school grounds are to shoot my first deer, and first pig, catch a 15 pound snapper, and get really good on my motorbike.

On the 24th October our school went to Whanga for the Targa Rally. The Targa Rally is a rally where the cars race on the main road from Whanga to Stratford .It was so awesome, I loved the whip cracking I learned how to do the round house (that is a type of whip). I was helping Rick our teacher’s big brother with collecting the red tickets. I had a free lunch. It was a yummy pork sandwich with tomato sauce. Our school went down to Whanga to feed the starving divers, co-drivers, supporters, spectators and police.

I just got out of the water. I do swimming lessons evey 1st and 4th term.It all payed off ,the
lessons got me 2nd and3rd in the champinships at swimming sports 2007.I realy injoy swimming I didn't like it much when I was little.But now it is part of my fun its funer than fun.

Toko v Patea

I play Saturday rugby. I play for Toko last weekend we played Patea and got a hammering. We lost 13 -3 try so 75-15. What a hammering!

This is my foxy Sharp. He goes pig hunting, possum shooting, rabbit shooting and wild cat shooting.He once dug out a rabbit hole and Steven and I got 6 baby rabbits but he killed them all.

Beach Ed Day

On Wednesday the 14th of February 2007 Marco School went to beach Ed at Fitzroy beach. It was awesome. We went on the boogie boards on the big waves. We learnt about rips and waves and how to protect ourselves from the sun. We played beach games and relays. I enjoyed playing seaweed the most.
